My Background

meet the Buffalo Boys

I had a remarkable childhood. Exposed to wildlife and natural wonders early on, I was primed to become a wildlife artist. During a cross country camping trip, our first stop was in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I thought I had stumbled into Heaven. As a 12 year old boy, I was unsuccessful in convincing my parents to leave me behind while they continued on their vacation. I never forgot that trip and despite years of intervening distractions, we eventually settled in Custer South Dakota, right where it all started.

Driving my wildlife art is a simple mandate. I want the viewer of my work to feel the same emotional content I felt when creating the painting. Hopefully, I will be able to instill a greater appreciation of wildlife and our natural environment in those who come in contact with my work.
