I had a remarkable childhood. Exposed to wildlife and natural wonders early on, I was primed to become a wildlife artist. During a cross country camping trip, our first stop was in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I thought I had stumbled into Heaven. As a 12 year old boy, I was unsuccessful in convincing my parents to leave me behind whi

During a cross country camping trip, our first stop was in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I thought I had stumbled into Heaven. As a 12 year old boy, I was unsuccessful in convincing my parents to leave me behind while they continued on their vacation. I never forgot that trip and despite years of intervening distractions, we eventually settled in Custer South Dakota, right where it all started.

My Background
I Started drawing using India Ink, and transitioned to Watercolors. In the intervening years, I have detoured into Oils, Acrylics, Woodcarving, Pencil, Sculpture, Printmaking and anything that captured my fancy. I always came back to Watercolors.
